Home Renovations
The Latest Trends in Kitchen Remodeling
The kitchen is a very popular room for home renovations and for good reason! Most families spend a great deal of time in the kitchen, so it makes sense that they want this space to suit their needs the most. Plus, it's great for resale value if you ever decide to sell the home. Kitchen remodeling trends change every few years. Here's what we've been seeing a lot of lately.
White & Light Gray
Many homeowners want to make the most of natural light, especially in the kitchen. This is why they choose to use a lot of white and light gray colors throughout the space. When the light comes in through the window, it bounces off the white marble countertops and light gray cabinets and illuminates the room.
Islands
An island in the center of the kitchen is a great way to add more to your kitchen! You can leave it as one big counter top for meal prep, or you can choose to include burners on top to cook from. You can also add cabinets below for storage or move the dishwasher into this space.
Open Areas
Another trend is bringing the kitchen and dining room together into one large area. This allows parents to cook dinner while the kids are finishing homework at the table. It also makes entertaining friends and family easier. Though many still opt to have a formal dining room nearby, including the kitchen table in a more informal dining space is a big trend.
